Your student is part of Milwaukee's great heritage of training our city's next generation in important career skills of trade and technologies. Bradley Tech is proud to be a leader in a comprehensive education that always focuses on career skills, and no greater skill for tomorrow is understanding the role of computer technologies in communications, business, engineering, and health care.

Mr. Sommer is a Tech instructor of information technologies, emphasizing the importance of learning web-based languages. This includes web and mobile app design, information technologies and applying the principles of computer science in finding solutions to problems all around us.

This mobile classroom is for you and your student to access class work, quizzes, and the class calendar at anytime, anywhere, with a smart phone that has internet access. Please contact Mr. Sommer by email or phone for more assistance.

These tools will support your student in the class and encourage him/her to develop important personal computer skills for the workplace. Please note that many online quizzes are available for your student to complete and use for homework/study outside of the classroom.

Personal assistance is always available to your student after school, most days starting immediately at 2:45 pm. Please contact me to discuss your transportation needs. City bus tickets are provided.

HTML5 Logo HTML is the language of the web, and this class introduces you to the code and design principles of making basic web pages.

At first you might find learning a new language difficult. Languages like French and Spanish are more easily learned with daily usage, so the more your work with HTML the faster your learning curve with progress. Most importantly, be patient with yourself and don't give up! Focus on learning a little each day and soon you will feel very comfortable learning more!

iTech Academy

MATC and Tech Logo

The iTech Academy offers Bradley Tech students an opportunity to earn an MATC technical diploma in mobile application design, along with up to 31 college credits. Bradley Tech students already have the opportunity to earn select MATC credits, but the iTech Academy breaks new ground by offering a clearly articulated pathway that starts with a technical college diploma and the potential of an associate degree, employment and transferability of all earned credits to a four-year college.

Mobile Apps

Mobile app design is an project-management class of designing a mobile application for a community need. The 2015-16 school year will focus on an educational app for Milwaukee's Strong Baby campaign to fight the heart-breaking problem of infant mortality and a news app for our local Walker's Point neighborhood.

Information Technologies

Information technology (IT) is part of the freshman trade and technology classes that introduce students to the many options of study at Bradley Tech. IT is a very broad career category and includes many possible computer skills. Students will complete many projects using computer software tools that they are expected to understand in today's high tech workplace.
